“It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter.”~ Alfred Eisenstaedt 1898-1995
When it comes to photography and quotes, not many hold seem to hold much weight in the history books. Alfred Eisenstaedt, who was an amazing German photojournalist, and took one of the most iconic photographs in American history, http://www.photoventure.com/2013/07/25/alfred-eisenstaedts-vj-day-in-times-square/.
His quote not only speaks to the medium of portrait work, but also to the professional/personal side of photography. When I work with a client, it is important that I see the personality...

When it came to writing this post I intended to be all thoughtful and artsy poetic then realized the muse had left my house in search of a more caffeinated mind (I gave up caffeine over a year ago). I started to look for things/people that inspired me in my photography and my pursuit of my artistic photographic expressionism. I follow these artists on Facebook and look...

Excerpt from, "A Slaughter of Angels."
Driving down the highway to a strip club is normally my idea of a good time, unless it is for business. Business I should just ignore, but I need the money. You can’t be a business owner without money. Of course, you can’t be a business owner without business to bring in the money. It’s a vicious circle. For me, it seems all I do is travel in circles. Except for now, a strip club is where I’m heading.
Even I am different than the regular everyday Joe. I am what the Bible calls Nephilim, born of a human mother with the father...

Even though the two may not participate in every aspect, the two go together perfectly. When it comes to being a photographer in Northern Colorado, I have the honor of shooting all types of people: models, brides, families, couples, and even actors. Even though the chances of me getting to produce head shots for Sandra Bullock are going to be non-existent, I still get to photograph a lot of talented individuals. I love hearing what they have to say during the shoot. They talk, and I listen and shoot. The more the actor talks, the more they relax. Honestly, everything they say is fascinating,...

Of all the things to write my first blog post about and it is going to be about Google+ and my adventures with this social media network. The first thing to do with Google+ is to open an account and set everything up!!! This includes, your profile, basic images, location, and all that fun stuff. Side note: Images are helluva lot better on Google+ than Facebook! Now you will need to expand your circles. I would say start with people you know who are on and add them to a circle. You won't really have to wait for them to accept a "friend request." After that expand your search in your...
