Like the name Voldemort, no one wants to say the words, “male boudoir photographer” for fear that they would have to admit they are real. Even though the vast majority of Boudoir photographers are women, there are men that do this styled of photography for a living. Now don’t get me wrong, many women won’t do a shoot like this with a guy. I can completely understand that.
Being a boudoir photographer, I have met some creepers that carry cameras. I’ve worked with models who mention these guys to me and honestly, this drives me crazy. Be a creeper elsewhere, leave the medium of photography for those who are truly professional and not trying to get off on it and take advantage of women.
I approach each shoot with respect. My dad raised me to respect women. I will continue doing so with my career. I will do everything I can to make a woman feel comfortable for the shoot and during the shoot. If there is a certain type of shot you won’t do, then we won’t do it. It is simple as that. The shoot is all about you and therefore, I will only photograph what you are comfortable having photographed.
Yes, male boudoir photographers exist, and no we are not evil creepers (there are some creepers out there so be careful). We are here to help you explore and bring out your beauty and sexuality with respect and confidence. Check out our portfolios and ask for references. A professional will have references. A creeper will have…well, nothing.
In short, find a reputable photographer whose style you feel serves the main purpose of the shoot and go with it, regardless of gender.
